Each oval stand with gadrooned border, chased with acanthus leaves, diaper work and scroll motif, the four handles realistically formed as serpents, the centre engraved with an inscription; each oval tureen, on openwork scroll supports with central floral finial beneath, part-fluted and with chased flower and foliage band, with two lion's mask drop ring handles, with plain liners; the partly fluted covers with detachable finial formed as a putto with a basket of fruit, fully marked
the stands 24 in. (61 cm.) long
822 oz. (25,589 gr.)
The inscription reads
